Blokebusters...my first novel

From the day I could hold a pen and write, being a writer is the only thing I’ve wanted to be.  In truth, I started this blog over seven years ago because I knew it would give me a regular push to write. My first love has always been fiction so I’ve been quietly working on my novel, telling virtually no one about it, and now I’m ready to put it ‘out there’ which is scary and thrilling at the same time.  I can only equate it to having a friend who you think is utterly brilliant, and then feeling a bit worried before introducing them to another friend in case they don’t get on.

Please let me introduce you to my novel: Blokebusters

I hope you love Matt, Georgia and Fiona as much as I do.

Blokebusters is currently available for pre-order from Amazon  and Apple’s iBooks (actual publication date on numerous platforms will be 19 January).  I hope you enjoy it.

NB. The story is not cake related although there is a brief mention of mince pies.  And some muffins may sneak in somewhere.  I’m not sure I could ever write a book over 300 pages in length without a single cake reference!

For those of you worried about my superhero identity being exposed fear not – my novel is published under a pen name ...I’d like to claim it was preservation of my baking identity but it’s actually rather more boring – someone else already is publishing under my real name!

This is brilliant news! Well done you!
I'll definitely be reading it. That's if I manage to get any time to myself as we're hopefully about to sign the legal papers.
I don't know, this epidemic of life changing events ;) makes me feel all 'yay, go you!'.

Oh CC, how very exciting. Well done. I do admire you. Writing a blog post is one thing, but a whole book. i do hope it takes off - though I am a little disappointed that cake doesn't feature as much as it might have ;-)

CC, that's literally the BEST news I've heard all week. I can relate, because I've always dreamed about being a writer too (but day job got in the way :( ) I'm not only happy for your success, because it's the success of someone I kind of, sort of know. I'm looking up to you as my source of inspiration - maybe one day I will manage to get my own book out there too.

My reading schedule hasn't been good last year (if it wasn't technical, scientific or an instruction manual, I probably didn't read it), but I'm definitely going to order this :)

Awesome, CC! You really are a super-hero! How do you manage to combine these two incredibly creative pursuits - perfect cake-making and writing a novel! And I won't even go there with your day-job (which I happen to know from way-back is rather dry and numbers-based...ha ha not to mention Monty Python!) Super woman indeed.
Congratulations!

Fabulous news CC!! Congratulations. Will definitely be reading it, but will wait for the print edition, as I don't do Kindle.

Here's wishing you a Bestseller! The next one better have some cake in it though...

P.S. cool pen name.
