The CCM

My wonderful mother, known to you all as the CCM (Caked Crusader’s Ma), passed away yesterday following a short illness.

I’m taking a little break from blogging while my family and I try to recover from this most awful of events. I can’t even begin to imagine how the world can ever seem the same again.

Hope to be back soon.

  17. Oh I am so very sorry. That is just so sad. When I saw the title CCM I thought of great a cake the CC must have made for mothers day. I was thinking of the lemon cake and other favourites you have spoken of the CCM liking over the years. It must be a horrible time for you all. I am once again truly sorry and will look forward to your return. Take all the time you need. I for one will certainly be here when you get back. X x x

  32. I am so sorry. Although we can't possibly pretend to know you or your family, your affection for each other is clear from your posts, and your talents, humour and joyful ability to entertain and educate are surely a tribute to your mum and your family. My mother passed away suddenly five years ago and though the pain remains it has eventually come to balance with remembering so much that is good and still with my family because of her. Nothing anyone can say will help at this time I know but I hope that eventually you will find a similar kind of peace. Thinking of you all.

  34. I am so sorry to hear of your loss, CC. This will take some dealing with. You have lost her too soon in your life.

I lost my mum at the age of 34, I was not ready, and it did make a huge difference to my outlook on the world. Nothing can replace a mother's love.

I can only say, take the time you need, and don't feel that you have to be brave. It's OK to cry and cry.
